“
My favorite experience had to be the clicking hooves of twenty or so horse
and carriages following one another on the avenue below combined with the
wonderful old world New Orleans room décor. It made for a magnificent wake
up call each morning.
The hotel is on historic Esplanade Avenue next to the Marigny District and
adjacent to the famous French Quarter. The room took my wife by total
surprise. She loved all the magnificent antiques, as did I. She said it
felt
like she had stepped into an Ann Rice novel, with all the old New Orleans
charm...just wonderful.
Everything was nearby, well within walking distance. And with all the great
dining in the area, taking a stroll after dinner can't be beat! The red
line
trolley was two blocks away for times when we didn't feel like walking the>short distance to the French Market or Bourbon Street. And of course the>sensational smells of great food cooking wafting through the air from the Marigny each evening was simply too much.
We can't wait to get back again. The staff was fabulous. They handle your
needs, questions, and concerns with Southern Charm and hospitality. Enjoy!”

“
The highlight for us was finding this place!
My
one and only regret was that we didn’t stay
here for the entire week. From the minute we
walked through the door and saw the courtyard
and room and all, we knew we found our New Orleans
“home”. You and your staff showed us the very
best in Southern hospitality…This is the only
place we will stay from now on.”

"I just thought
I'd drop you a line to thank you for all your
help during my stay at Lamothe House.
Your attention was, to say the
least, outstanding! My time in New Orleans was
the highlight of my vacation to USA and Mexico.
I will be sure to recommend you to all my friends
and students. Well done!"

"We
recently stayed at your hotel…This was probably
the best part of our trip!
The homey feel of your place
is wonderful. I felt like I was at my grandma's
house…We got married while in New Orleans…During
our stay we decided to come back every five
years for our anniversary. We plan to stay at
the Lamothe House each time."

"Just
to let you know my family had a great time in
New Orleans,
and we absolutely loved the Lamothe House Hotel.
Even my 17-year-old son. It was a wonderful
time and experience. We loved it.
